Chelsea Building Society: Mortgages and Remortgages

If you choose to save or take a mortgage with Chelsea, you are benefiting from over 125 years of experience. You will also have the comfort of knowing that you are dealing with the country's fifth largest building society that has assets of £11 billion. Despite spectacular growth, Chelsea continues to give the highest priority to providing a fast and personal service to its customers.

Chelsea Building Society offers you competitive mortgage deals on amounts between £25,000 and £2 million. Chelsea offers both repayment and interest-only mortgages, which means that you can opt to repay either interest plus capital every month, or choose a lower interest-only monthly payment with the capital due to be repaid at the end of the mortgage term.

Use our simple loan form or mortgage form to talk with a financial adviser to see if Chelsea loans or mortgages could be right for you.

Chelsea's loan-to-value (LTV) rates range from 60% on property prices over £2 million, up to 95% LTV on property valued under £250,000.

The fact that Chelsea is one of the most efficient societies means that it can pass on the benefits of its mutual status in the way that building societies have always done, through lower rates for borrowers and higher rates for savers. These attractive products have seen the number of people saving with Chelsea grow to over 400,000 and borrowers to over 80,000. Chelsea places integrity and respect for its customers at the core of everything it does and is proud to say that it is a mutual building society and will continue to remain one.

Whilst Chelsea Building Society's origins in 1875 can be traced back to London and the South East, Chelsea's Head Office is located in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. Almost all its 34 branch offices are in southern England, although rapid expansion of its direct savings and mortgage facilities mean that Chelsea can truly be regarded as a national building society.
